DIY - Wine Tote

Wine bottle not included, but much appreciated!

Step #1 ( Part One)

Sew one 2" x 4-1/2" Fabric B strip to the top of one 4-1/2" x 12" Fabric A strip to make one Side Panel. Repeat to make three more Side Panels for the Wine Bag.

Step#1 (Part Two)

Iron the seams - always iron the seam down to press out any air then open and press out.

Step #2

Starting and stopping 1/4" from each edge of one 4-1/2" Fabric A square (Bottom Panel), sew each Side Panel to the Bottom Panel.

Step #3

Starting at the sewn point on each corner of the Bottom Panel sew up 3 of the side seams.

Step #4

With the 4” cut fabric stiffener fit into the square of the fabric base, I sewed a cross to hold in place. Then sew the last side seam to finish your bag outside.

Step #5

Repeat Steps 1-3 with the Fabric C pieces to make the Bag Lining piece. Leave a 3" opening along one bottom seam for turning.

Step#6

Cut two handles to desired length. (I didn’t video this part 🙈) Place the Sewn Bag and Bag Lining piece right sides together, centre the handles on each side of the bag between the two pieces.

Step #7

Sew across the top edge of both pieces, sew back and forth over the handles for extra support.

Step #8

Turn the bag right side through to the opening in the liner.

Step #9

Machine or hand stitch the opening in the bag liner closed.
